On Sunday 6th July we heard the story of the healing of Naaman the Syrian general by the prophet Elisha (2 Kings 5:1-19). Ian reflected on the way Naaman’s salvation comes through the embrace of humility. This story offers a word to the powerful in an age of rising authoritarianism — strength and power are restored to relationship with God when they embrace vulnerability and humility.
