Gulari Primary School in the mountainous Baguia Sub-District of East Timor lacks any facility to capture and provide water for the 70 poor children who attend this school. Three of our Church members, Meagan and Judy Lowe and Jane Hart, visited the school in September this year and heard firsthand their desperate plea for help to build a water tank.
Our Community Outreach Group is keen to help and hopes you will too, by taking a “Tanks for Timor” “mini tank” and use it to put aside your spare change for these people. Through your donations we hope to raise enough money to enable a tank to be built. The money will be provided to the school through the registered charity, Friends of Baguia (tax deductible receipts are available).
Please return your “mini tank” to the Office by 31 December.
Alternatively if you prefer to make a one-off donation, please use the Friends of Baguia donation form – cheques made out to Friends of Baguia – and send it direct to them or return it to the Church Office.
